We are accepting submissions for our cover contest until June 4, 2017!
In June, we will publish the next issue of the Oxford Monitor of Forced Migration (Volume 7, Number 1). For this issue, we are looking for photographs, drawings, or other visual art for our cover page. We look forward to receiving your creative contributions!
Here are some examples of our past covers. As you can see, the style of OxMo has changed over the years.
We are also interested in the story behind your work. Therefore, please add 2-5 lines to your submission, describing what your contribution symbolizes and how it relates to forced migration. We accept up to three submissions per person.
All submissions must meet the following criteria:
Must be the original work of the photographer/artist
Must be accompanied by 2-5 lines on the symbolism and relation to forced migration
Ideal resolution: 2100 x 3000 px (others are also acceptable)
Send your submission to oxmofm(at)googlemail.com. You can submit up to 3 entries.
Submissions will be selected in a blind review process. Please note that we will not be able to reimburse the artist. We are a volunteer-run publication and all our members are contributing pro bono.
